Our separate recruitment and outpatient unit is fitted to effectively initiate sustained recruitment campaigns for the desired population. With a public transportation system serving 3.3 million residents in Hamburg and surroundings we are in an ideal position to successfully recruit even for challenging studies within short timelines.

Our main recruitment tool is our volunteer data base containing more than 6.000 contacts. Additionally, we keep a close contact to our volunteers by sending out newsletters, and maintenance of our volunteer website. If needed, we recruit via newspaper advertisements or external recruitment support services.

During the first visit at SCOPE the volunteer is informed in depth by a physician and may be screened, provided an informed consent was signed. In addition to recruitment, information and examination of volunteers this unit is the perfect place for ambulatory visits and outpatient studies i.e: vaccine trials.
