The department is headed by Dr. Jörg Sahlmann, Anesthesiologist and educated First-Aid Physician. He is supported by Urte Eydeler (General Practitioner, Deputy head), Dr. Dankwart Rachor (Gynecologist), Dr. Katrin Rachor (Anesthesiologist and educated First-Aid Physician) and Christa Zante (General Practitioner).
They oversee a clinical department that comprises three separate units with a total number of 80 beds. This enables us on the one hand to treat a large number of subjects simultaneously and provides us on the other hand with the flexibility needed to meet the timelines of our clients.
The general set-up of the clinical units is as follows:
All units are equipped with medical devices like ECGs as well as with blood processing equipment and freezers for sample storage with a validated temperature control and documentation system. For maximal patient safety crash karts and an emergency call system are in place. In addition, bedside monitoring and telemetry are available in our intensive care unit. For preparation of standardized meals we do have a fully equipped inhouse kitchen.
